A vibrant “art drying line” stretched low across a bright wall, with chunky wooden clothespins holding up a row of freshly painted kids’ artwork. The paintings feature bold, simple shapes—oversized flowers, smiling suns, wavy rainbows, and abstract splatters—on thick, slightly warped paper. Below the line, a narrow shelf holds a disorderly but charming row of small paint jars with dribbles of dried color down their sides. Late afternoon sunlight filters in from a nearby window, casting dappled light across the paintings and creating soft, playful shadows from the clothespins. The camera is placed at an eye-level angle with a slight tilt upward, giving emphasis to the swinging art. Photographic realism with saturated colors creates a joyful, playful atmosphere, perfect for a kids’ art club space.

Little Hands

Nurturing creativity and confidence through hands-on cooking and art for TK–2 kids in Petaluma

Ms. Bobo

Hi this is Bobo. I am a homeschool mom of 4 (soon to be 5) kids. I grew up in Asia, where kids are very academic. I had never cooked a meal until I was in my twenties when I was studying aboard. After having kids, I realized how important to teach the kids about life skills. Cooking is a big one!

In my home, my kids starts being a kitchen helper when they are a toddler. From setting up the table, simple cleaning to baking, I love to have children involved in my kitchen. I love to see them work with their hands.

I also own a home bakery business. I sell bread and bake goods to my communities. My kitchen is always busy!

Other than cooking, art always has a special space in my heart. I am glad that I can provide a space for kids to create, to hang out and to laugh together.
